RESEARCH PROJECTS PROPOSED BY THE SAIHUB BUSINESS NETWORK

Since 2021, in the framework of the regional call for research grants, the then Partenariato SAIHUB, supported by Fondazione Monte dei Paschi di Siena, has supported seven scientific projects involving various departments of the University together with companies of the network. In addition, four other S&T development initiatives proposed by the Rete SAIHUB were directly funded, with the Fondazione covering the costs of the young university researchers involved. All these activities focus on the use of artificial intelligence to advance knowledge and

technologies in the Life Sciences and other areas with high social impact. The Fondazione SAIHUB is also involved in the more general international debate on the use of AI for good, participating in and promoting any dialogue initiative that leads to a wider dissemination of the ethical concepts that must guide the use of such a new and powerful tool. This is why it supported the SAICONFERENCE 2023, organised by the Rete SAIHUB and held in Siena on the occasion of the awarding of an honorary degree by the University of Siena to Yann LeCun, one of the fathers of AI.
