THE HISTORY
The Fondazione SAIHUB was established on 21 December 2022, following the transformation of the Partenariato of the same name, founded in 2020.
The idea of creating an artificial intelligence park in Siena dates back to 2019, after some discussions between institutions, entrepreneurs and academics.
The initiative, promoted by the Fondazione Monte dei Paschi, was shared by the University of Siena, which immediately joined, and then by the Fondazione Toscana Life Sciences, Confindustria Toscana Sud and the Municipality of Siena. These organisations gave life to the Partenariato,
which from the outset included the Rete SAIHUB, a corporate network initially made up of 17 companies from all over Italy already active in the field of artificial intelligence. The Partenariato agreement was signed by the parties on 22 July 2020.
Today, as in the past, the objective is to promote the strengthening of the Sienese and Tuscan economic ecosystem in the field of Life Sciences, with the introduction of Artificial Intelligence and the dissemination of scientific and professional skills aimed at the implementation of human capital.
