Fondazione SAIHUB
Fondazione SAIHUB, a holding foundation established in 2022, was wanted and created by the Fondazione Monte dei Paschi di Siena (which is its main financial backer) and the University of Siena, in order to pool the energies and skills of the Sienese ecosystem in the life sciences sector.
In addition to FMPS and UNISI, the Fondazione Toscana Life Sciences, Confindustria Toscana Sud, the Municipality of Siena and Rete SAIHUB (a business network that brings together more than 25 Italian companies specialising in artificial intelligence solutions) are among the founders.

According to studies carried out by the Consorzio Alisei, the national life sciences sector today comprises over 5,500 companies employing around 1.8 million people, with an estimated production value of €252 billion, equivalent to 10.6% of Italy’s GDP.
